For many South Africans cash remains king, yet it isn’t always that easy to pay for your online orders with cash. That’s why Hamper World now offers Mukuru Pay via Payfast!
With the Mukuru Pay payment option, you can pay for your online order with a cash payment quickly, easily and securely.
Here’s how it works.
How Mukuru Pay Works
- Order your gift or flowers (or both) on our shop.
- On every product, you can select a number of add ons to make it extra special.
- Once you’ve clicked “add to cart”, it will open the cart page.
- Check that you are happy with your order and click “proceed to checkout”.
- On our checkout page you will need to fill in your details, as well as the details of the person we are sending the gift or flowers to.
- As soon as you have filled in all the delivery details, you will select a payment method from the right hand side of the page.
- Select Payfast and click “place order”
- A new window will open with Payfast information. On this page, select Mukuru Pay (also called “cash”)
- This will open a window where you are prompted to enter your mobile phone number and you need to tick a box for Terms & Conditions.
- Once you’ve entered your mobile number, the screen will display a unique Mukuru payment code. You should save this on your device and send to yourself via SMS or email.
- Now that you have the code, you can take this to any Mukuru outlet and pay for your online purchase in cash.
- As soon as you’ve made payment at a Mukuru Outlet, it will reflect in our account and we will be notified.

Important Notes – Mukuru Pay
- Hamper World offers same day delivery in Gauteng, Mondays to Saturdays. However, your payment needs to reflect in the account before we can dispatch your gifts or flowers. Therefore, if you want to use Mukuru Pay for same day delivery, make sure you have paid with your Mukuru Code at a branch or outlet before 11AM on weekdays and 10AM on Saturdays for us to dispatch.
- Your order will only show as processing, and will be packed by the team, once payment via Mukuru Pay has been received.
- Your Mukuru Code expires after a few days. So make sure you are able to visit a Mukuru Branch on time to make payment.
- If you do not receive the code via email or SMS, contact Mukuru Pay for assistance.
